Conduct detailed site and desktop surveys to assess feasibility for new fibre installations under the Openreach PIA and Civils contracts.
Identify and document existing infrastructure (ducts, poles, chambers) and any potential obstructions or risks.
Use GIS and survey tools to produce accurate, high-quality survey packs and redline drawings for the design and build teams.
Recommend optimal routing solutions based on Openreach engineering principles and local authority requirements.
Liaise with design, build, and compliance teams to ensure survey outputs align with project requirements.
Ensure all survey work complies with Openreach standards, including use of the appropriate codes and conventions.
Attend pre-start meetings and handovers to clarify survey findings and support project planning.
Keep up-to-date with Openreach documentation, technical updates, and any changes to PIA processes or requirements.
